The 2023-2024 enrollment window is open, come to an event to get information! If your child is entering middle or high school next year, or if you are interested in exploring other schools in the district, our 2023-2024 school year enrollment window is open until Sunday, Feb. 12! You’ll have many opportunities to learn about our schools (click here to see our enrollment events calendar), and we encourage you to take advantage of them. Not sure if your child needs to enroll? Looking to apply to a Tulsa Public Schools magnet school for the 2023-2024 school year? To understand criteria for each of the school sites and for general information regarding magnet schools, click here. The application for a magnet school is included in the Enroll Tulsa application process.

Understanding your child’s academic growth through the MAP assessment. Students will take Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) reading and math assessments from Jan. 11-27, and MAP results will help you and your child’s teachers understand your child’s academic growth so far this year. The results also help your child’s school team provide the support your child needs to be successful. Click here for tips and commonly asked questions.

Get bus schedule updates at your fingertips! The SafeStop app provides real-time updates on each school bus including current location and expected arrival time. You can download the SafeStop app from the App Store or Google Play; click here for setup instructions. Once enrolled, you can track your child’s bus routes in real time. Contact the transportation department at 918-833-8100 for questions or visit www.tulsaschools.org/bus.

Free tutoring supports for students in grades 3-12. Don’t forget that you can click here to sign up for weekly targeted instruction for your student in reading or math. On-demand homework help is also available to your student simply by clicking on the FEV icon on their Clever dashboard or logging in through https://portal.fevtutor.com/. For questions about FEV Tutor, please email ok@fevtutor.com or call 855-763-2607.

Access to free or low-cost internet services. Tulsa Responds supports eligible families to access free or low-cost internet services. You are likely eligible if you live in Tulsa County and participate in Medicaid/Soonercare, SNAP, free and reduced lunch programs, or other federal programs such as WIC or SSI. Click here to learn more.

Sign up for Indian Education programming. Our Indian Education team provides a range of services to Native American students in our district, including opportunities for cultural enrichment experiences celebrating their native heritage.

In order to participate in the program, Native American families need to complete a form to sign up! This form is called a 506 form, and the Indian Education team is hosting 2 events to help families enroll.

These events will take place at the Indian Education office (7635 E. 42nd Place) on:

  • Friday, Jan. 27 from 9am-3pm; and
  • Friday, Feb. 24 from 9am-5pm.

The deadline for families to sign up for services for the 2023-2024 school year will be coming up in March. Families are encouraged to visit our website at www.TulsaSchools.org/IndianEducation to download the 506 form and return it to our team. 

FREE tax preparation at the Parent Resource Center! VITA is a volunteer-based income tax assistance program that provides free tax filing to eligible Tulsans. All of the volunteer tax preparers are IRS-certified and receive training from the IRS. Individuals and families with annual household income of $60,000 or less can file taxes FREE through VITA. VITA can also prepare tax returns for prior years and help families make sure they are collecting all of their Child Tax credits. Volunteers will also be available to help connect families to important resources like free internet service, SNAP, and Medicare benefits. Tax services are provided at the Parent Resource Center by appointment only. Click here to schedule an appointment.

Parent Academy: Mental Health Matters! Let's talk about the important topic of mental health. Expert presenters will provide you with information to support you and your child in developing routines and skills to support healthy emotional development. You will also have the opportunity to learn about a variety of mental health services that are provided by community agencies in Tulsa. Join the conversation at the Parent Resource Center, on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 6-7pm. Register here.

Rising 9th grade students can earn a degree and graduate early! Students entering 9th grade in the 2023-2024 school year can apply for a spot in the EDGE (Earn a Degree, Graduate Early) program at McLain High School or Memorial High School. Through EDGE, students can graduate high school with a high school diploma and an associate’s degree free of charge!

EDGE students get the support they need to succeed in college with extra tutoring, monthly events with classmates, study sessions, and a chance to experience what it’s like to learn and grow in a college setting. You can click here to submit an application, and the deadline is Sunday, Feb. 12.
