Stephanie Williams has been selected as the 2022-2023 Lanier Elementary Teacher of the Year!
One of her nominators said: "She always has a smile on her face and even when a stern attitude is called for, she always makes sure the kids know they are valued. She puts the kids first and allows them to be kids, meeting them where they are, treating them with respect and making sure they know they have value and that they can succeed."
This is Stephanie's 25th year teaching for Tulsa Public Schools. She currently teaches 3rd grade at Lanier.
"I integrate my personal passions for art and literature into my teaching in the hopes of sparking a love of reading and the arts in my students. My professional ambition is to make learning accessible for everyone in my classroom – no matter our differences. I love teaching; I love Lanier and its community; and I love teaching in Tulsa.""
Stephanie has three sons who all graduated from Tulsa Public Schools.
